Pedro Aparicio, 2 minors Injured in Car Accident in Tyler, TX
Smith County, TX — February 10, 2024, Pedro Aparicio and two minors were injured in a car accident shortly before 5:30 p.m. along Troup Highway, S.H. 110.
According to authorities, 38-year-old Pedro Aparicio and a 10-year-old boy were traveling in a westbound Ford Edge SUV on South Beckham at the Troup Highway intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that a northbound Dodge Ram pickup truck entered the intersection from Troup Highway at an unsafe time, resulting in a collision between the pickup and the SUV. The pickup truck was then involved in a secondary collision with a Hyundai Sonata which had also been northbound in the intersection.
Aparicio incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. The 17-year-old man who had been a passenger in the pickup truck sustained suspected moderate injuries, as well, while the 10-year-old from the SUV received apparently minor injuries. Each were taken to local medical facilities in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
