Sandra Kay Bear Killed, Adria Taylor Injured in Car Accident on F.M. 1374 in Walker County, TX
UPDATE (January 31, 2024): Recent reports have been released which clarify what occurred during this accident. Adria Taylor was traveling in an eastbound Kia Optima on F.M. 1374 approaching the Texas Grand Circle intersection when, for as yet unknown reasons, the Kia failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. The vehicle allegedly veered left of center, entering the westbound lanes of roadway. As a result, the front-left of the Kia reportedly collided with the front-left of an oncoming Honda CR-V occupied by Sandra Bear—age62.
Walker County, TX — January 13, 2024, Sandra Kay Bear was Killed and Adria Taylor was injured in a car accident along F.M. 1374.
According to authorities, 21-year-old Adria Taylor was traveling in Kia Optima along Farm to Market 1374 in the vicinity of the Texas Grand Road intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unconfirmed reasons, the Kia was traveling at allegedly high speeds. This resulted in a collision with a Honda CR-V occupied by 62-year-old Sandra Kay Bear. Bear was declared deceased at the scene due to the injuries she incurred during the accident. Taylor sustained reportedly severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
