Houston, TX — March 7, 2024, Sanjana Ranganathan and one other person were injured in a car accident at approximately 5:20 p.m. along Old Spanish Trail.
According to authorities, 29-year-old Sanjana Ranganathan was traveling in an eastbound Honda Insight along Old Spanish Trail approaching the Peerless Street intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a northbound Mercedes-Benz GLE at the stop sign on Peerless Street entered the intersection at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to cross traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the Insight and the front-left side of the GLE.
Ranganathan incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck, while the 37-year-old man from the GLE suffered apparently minor injuries. Both were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
