1 Injured in Scooter Car Accident on Woods St. in San Marcos, TX
Hays County, TX — February 8, 2024, one person was injured in a motorized scooter versus car accident at approximately 3:30 p.m. along Woods Street.
According to authorities, a Volkswagen Jetta was at a stop in the eastbound lane of traffic on Woods Street in the vicinity east of Talbot Street when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that the passenger door of the Jetta was opened just as a motorized scooter was attempting to pass the stopped vehicle on the right. The scooter ran into the door of the vehicle as a result. The 37-year-old man who had been riding the scooter incurred reportedly severe injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
