Trent Earl Everhart Injured in Alleged Hit-and-run Accident in Harris County, TX
Harris County, TX — March 1, 2024, Trent Earl Everhart was injured due to an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 9:53 p.m. along Brittmoore Road.
Officials put the crash near the intersection of Brittmoore Road and Brittmoore Park Drive in northwest Houston.

It appears that 37-year-old Trent Everhart and a 17-year-old boy were in a Ford F-550 truck facing eastbound along the southbound lanes of Brittmoore Road. A southbound Toyota Tundra apparently crashed into the Ford, then that driver allegedly fled the scene. Details suggest authorities identified and charged that driver. Everhart had reportedly moderate injuries.

Authorities did not confirm any other details, but I wonder if they happened to rule out what exactly led to the crash itself. Drivers who flee the scene typically do so because of something specific. Some can result in additional charges, like drugs or warrants. Others can even involve outside parties, like if a bar illegally over-served the driver and contributed to the crash. But if authorities are too quick to move on the minute they can put someone in front of a judge, they might overlook something important.
