1 Killed in Truck Accident on F.M. 3129 in Cass County, TX
Cass County, TX — December 11, 2023, one person was killed in a truck accident just after 1:30 in the afternoon along Farm to Market 3129.
According to reports, a 43-year-old man was traveling in a northbound Chevy 5550HD service truck on Farm to Market 3129 approximately half of a mile south of the Farm to Market 251 intersection when the accident took place.
For as yet unknown reasons, the vehicle failed to safely negotiate a curve in the road. It reportedly veered off of the right side of the road, after which it was oversteered to the left, causing the pickup to overturn onto its passenger side and begin rolling. The truck came to a stop resting on its right side in the roadside ditch. The man—who had been the sole occupant of the vehicle—was allegedly ejected from the vehicle during the incident and came to rest near a tree line north of the truck; he incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result, having been declared deceased at the scene.
The accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been clear and dry. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the victim's identity—are not available at this point in time.
