5 Killed, 2 Injured in Truck Accident on U.S. 40 in Farmington, PA
Farmington, PA — March 26, 2024, five people were killed and two were injured in a truck accident at approximately 2:00 p.m. along U.S. 40.
According to authorities, the accident took place on U.S. Highway 40 between State Route 381 and Dinner Bell 5 Forks Road.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a Honda Accord crossed over into the opposite lane in order to attempt to pass another vehicle and struck the 18-wheeler head-on, as a result. Five of the victims from the Honda—one of which was reportedly an infant—incurred fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and were declared deceased at the scene. Two other people who had been involved incurred apparently minor injuries, as well.
Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of the victims—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
