4 Injured in Truck Accident on S.H. 158 in Glasscock County, TX
Glasscock County, TX — December 2, 2023, four people were injured in a truck accident at 7:00 in the morning along State Highway 158.
According to reports, two men and two women—all age 37—were traveling in a southeast bound Honda Odyssey minivan along S.H. 158 in the vicinity west of the S.H. 137 intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that an 18-wheeler which had been traveling southwest on the S.H. 158 had allegedly slowed to make a right-hand turn into a private drive when, for unknown reasons, the front end of the minivan collided with the back left corner of the 18-wheeler's trailer. The collision cause the mini van to spin clockwise, coming to a stop facing southwest, blocking the left lane of southeast bound S.H. 158.
While the man who had been behind the wheel of the minivan incurred suspected moderate injuries, the other three people who had been passengers in that vehicle reportedly sustained severe injuries. They were all transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive appropriate treatment. No other injuries were reported.
