Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
It's a positive sign that authorities have published images of the suspect vehicle, as someone is often able to connect the dots and come forward with helpful information. Once that happens, steps can be taken to find out why the driver left the scene. It's rarely as simple as just someone panicking about the accident. Usually, they had something specific to hide, such as drunk driving or warrants. Making sure there is accountability here means seeing appropriate consequences for all the driver's wrongdoings. The more these stories circulate in the public eye, the sooner there can be a resolution for this girl's family.
