Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
When people see single-vehicle wrecks, they sometimes are quick to just assume the driver did something wrong. That happens, obviously, but there are other factors that need consideration. Were there road hazards? Was there another reckless driver involved? Did a tire blow out? Is this a poorly maintained stretch of road? Did the vehicle have any defects? Sometimes, authorities are too hasty to look into all of these possible factors. Unless there's a second set of eyes looking things over, important details may slip through the cracks.
