Armstrong County, TX — April 23, 2023, Jordan Chavira was fatally injured due to a single vehicle car accident at 6:35 a.m. along U.S. Highway 287.
Investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety were called to the eastbound lanes of the highway.

Their initial reports on the crash say that it involved 26-year-old Jordan Chavira, who was said to be the driver of a Ford Explorer. The Ford Explorer somehow lost control, causing the vehicle to run off-road onto the median. There, Chavira's vehicle swerved back across the roadway, then overturned repeatedly.
Emergency responders came to the scene, but the details say Chavira was thrown from the Ford and sustained fatal injuries. No others were said to have been involved in the crash. Right now, authorities have yet to release additional details about the fatal accident. Investigations are ongoing.
