What “Exclusive” Means on MikeGrossman.blog
When you see the “Exclusive” tag on a story on this blog, it means one thing: we’re reporting on an accident that no other news outlet has covered.
Why These Stories Matter
Every week, hundreds of serious crashes occur across Texas. Many of them never make the news. Victims’ names go unmentioned, and the circumstances surrounding what happened remain unexamined.
At Grossman Law Offices, we believe those stories matter. Behind every crash report is a family, a community, and questions that deserve answers. When a story is marked as Exclusive, it indicates that we identified the incident through official public records and can't find the story reported anywhere else.
Why Aren't Traditional Media Outlets Covering these Stories?
As recently as fifteen years ago, many of these "exclusive" stories would likely have been covered by a local reporter for a community newspaper. Unfortunately, changes in the newspaper industry have had a devastating impact. There simply aren't as many reporters as there were, which means that incidents that impact people's lives often go unnoticed.
We're in a position to remedy that. We believe it's important that people have an accurate picture of what's taking place on our roadways and the impact it has.
How We Source These Stories
Our team reviews thousands of public records every week. We look for accidents that raise concerns about:
- Negligent drivers or commercial vehicle operators
- Potential overserving by bars or restaurants (Dram Shop liability)
- Unsafe road conditions or design
- Patterns of recurring accidents in specific areas
When we identify a crash that appears to warrant further investigation, we write about it — not for clicks, but to shed light on potential issues that may otherwise go unnoticed.
Why We Do It
Our goal is to bring transparency and accountability to Texas’s roadways. By highlighting accidents that no one else is talking about, we hope to:
- Encourage safer driving and business practices
- Help families understand their legal options
- Push for answers where others have stopped asking questions
Responsible, Respectful Reporting
We take great care to handle these stories with sensitivity. We do not speculate on fault, and we only report details from publicly available data.
Our intention is to inform — not sensationalize — and to ensure that every story of loss or negligence gets the attention it deserves.
