Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Pedestrian accidents sometimes can be challenging if people are too focused on jumping to conclusions. At the end of the day, fatal accidents need to be taken seriously. Whether a factor is likely or not, it warrants attention. What were road conditions? What is lighting like? Did authorities pull phone records? Are there any nearby cameras? Did this involve some kind of emergency? At the end of the day, they victim's loved ones should feel confident they're getting the full story. Otherwise, there may need to be more thorough independent investigations.
