Angie Sanchez Reyes, Yanina Reyes Guerrero Injured in Alleged Hit-and-run Accident in Harris County, TX
Harris County, TX — June 7, 2024, Angie Sanchez Reyes and Yanina Reyes Guerrero were injured in an alleged hit-and-run accident at 10:13 p.m. on Airline Drive.
Authorities said in initial statements that the accident took place in the area of Airline Drive and Gulf Bank Road.

According to officials, 19-year-old Angie Sanchez Reyes and 50-year-old Yanina Reyes Guerrero were on foot at the time along northbound Airline Drive. While there, authorities say that a Jaguar failed to control speed and crashed into them. The Jaguar driver then allegedly failed to stop and render aid.
As a result of the accident, Angie Sanchez Reyes and Yanina Reyes Guerrero were injured. Authorities recommended charges for the alleged runaway driver.
Commentary
While it's encouraging authorities had a suspect to hold accountable here, I have to wonder if they found out why that driver left the scene. In my experience, it's rarely just fear about the accident itself. It's more often something else they didn't want authorities to find out about. Did investigators find anything like that here?
