Atanacio Ponse Killed in Alleged Hit-and-run Accident in Garland, TX
Garland, TX — January 22, 2023, Atanacio Ponse was fatally injured due to an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 8:53 p.m. along Broadway Boulevard.
According to initial details about the accident, it occurred off the corner of the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and William A. Taylor Avenue.

Investigators said that 58-year-old Anatacio Ponse was on foot at the time and was reportedly attempting to cross Broadway. While on southbound lanes of Broadway, police say that a southbound Nissan Altima hit Ponse. That vehicle then reportedly left the scene of the accident.
As a result of the collision, Ponse ended up succumbed to his injuries. There were no other reported injuries. Authorities indicate they identified the driver involved in the incident, and there were suggestions for a charge of failure to stop and render aid involving death. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
