Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
I have to wonder if this accident ever got the attention it deserved. To be clear, I don't say that because of anything specific in these initial details. Rather, any crash involving a young driver on a motorcycle is going to cause all kinds of rushed conclusions. The problem is when authorities are the ones jumping to those conclusions. Sometimes, they can set that bias aside and let the evidence speak for itself. Too often, though, that requires more thorough independent investigations. It remains to be seen what kind of investigation this crash got.
