Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
If it's true this driver fled the scene, why did they do so? Drivers don't often take off simply out of panic. There's usually something they wanted to hide from the authorities, like warrants or drunk driving. It's possible that holding the driver accountable for leaving the scene would only be part of the larger story. Considering someone lost their life, it's important no stone is left unturned.
