Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
One of the challenges with accidents like this is they don't always get the care and attention they deserve. Authorities sometimes treat single-vehicle wrecks as a low priority. This means officers may not be given the time or tools they need to do a proper investigation. This is why it helps to follow up with them early on. If someone goes to authorities with their doubts and concerns, and authorities address those concerns thoroughly, it's likely a sign they did good investigations. If their answers don't add up, though, there could be more to the story they're missing.
