Calvin Ray Jones Sr. Injured in Car Accident in Harris County, TX
Harris County, TX — October 21, 2023, Calvin Ray Jones Sr. was injured following a car accident at around 10:45 p.m. along Homestead Road.
Investigators said in preliminary statements that the accident happened near the intersection of Homestead Road (U.S. 59) and Winfield Road.

Officials stated that 58-year-old Calvin Jones Sr. was on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling northbound on Homestead. It appears another vehicle also going southbound crashed with Jones, knocking over the motorcycle. Jones was thrown into the roadway. The other vehicle left the scene. Jones reportedly sustained serious injuries due to the crash.
Right now, there doesn't appear to be a description of the runaway vehicle available. My hope is that authorities either found out more behind the scenes or otherwise will continue to put out calls to the public to come forward if they know something. Hit-and-runs often see resolutions because someone in the community connects the dots and comes forward. But if authorities aren't revisiting the situation, they might miss the big break they need.
