Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
It's not clear what visibility was like in the area of the collision, and authorities didn't say if the disabled vehicle was properly lit at the time. If it had its emergency lights on, or if other drivers had no issues going around the scene without incident, it would raise serious red flags about this driver somehow failing to avoid a collision. If authorities haven't already done the work behind the scenes to get answers, there may be more to this story that needs further independent investigations.
