Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Something that stands out to me here is that one person in this vehicle was seriously injured while the other was apparently fine. Why is that? Was it just the natural result of how the car crashed? Or, could it be that something which protected the driver failed to protect the passenger?
Potential vehicle defect almost never get the attention they deserve after serious car accidents. Things like airbags, seatbelts, seat assemblies, and even the structure of the vehicle itself can fail to protect passengers during a crash. If a close inspection shows that a victim was injured not necessarily due to a crash but rather the vehicle's failure to prevent those injuries appropriately, that's a crucial issue that needs to be addressed.
So, did authorities look into that possibility here? If not, there could be more to this story that needs to be brought to light.
