Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
With any serious car accident, it's important that people understand how complex crash investigations can be. It's not always enough to just wait around for the authorities. I've worked with many families who patiently waited for authorities to get them answers only for them to end up empty handed weeks or months later. Sometimes, having more thorough independent investigators look things over helps to confirm that police have done a good job. Other times, they show there are gaps in the story that need further attention. What those efforts might show here remains to be seen.
