3 Injured in Car Accident on Highway 78 in Garland, TX
Garland, TX — October 19, 2025, three people were injured as the result of a car accident at around 6:52 p.m. along Highway 78.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the intersection of Highway 78 and Buckingham Road.

Investigators said that a 17-year-old was in a Toyota Camry going northbound on the highway. Another Toyota Camry was going eastbound while a GMC pickup was going westbound. At the intersection, the vehicles crossed paths and collided.
Due to the crash, three people involved in the accident had reported injuries. No other injuries were confirmed. At this time, additional details about the accident are unconfirmed.

I certainly don't have more information about this accident specifically. However, I do hope authorities have been careful and focused on the facts. I've seen too many situations where authorities jumped to conclusions just because one of the drivers was young and inexperienced. Younger drivers are more likely to make mistakes, but that should be up to the evidence to say. Did that happen here?
