Collins, MS — August 13, 2024, Carl Jordan and one other man were killed in a truck accident at about 12:00 midnight on Collins Industrial Park Road.

According to authorities, the accident took place in the vicinity of the Collins Industrial Parks Road—U.S. Highway 49—and Oakhill Boulevard intersection.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an 18-wheeler occupied by 71-year-old Carl Dean Jordan and a passenger vehicle occupied by an as of yet unidentified man were involved in a serious collision. Preliminary reports state that both men suffered fatal injuries as a result of the wreck. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time.
