Danny Lee Goodman Killed, 3 Injured in Multi-vehicle Truck Accident on I-64 in Louisville, KY
UPDATE (January 29, 2024): Recent reports have been released which identify the man who lost his life in this accident as 61-year-old Danny Lee Goodman. The identities of those who were injured as a result of the crash have not yet been confirmed.
Louisville, KY — January 17, 2024, one person was killed and three others were injure in a multi-vehicle truck accident at approximately 5:30 a.m. along I-64.
According to authorities, the accident took place on eastbound Interstate 64 in the vicinity of the Cochran Hill Tunnel.

Officials indicate that the causal factors that led to the incident are still unclear. It has been confirmed, however, that five vehicles were involved in the fiery accident: two 18-wheelers, one garbage truck, and two passenger vehicles. Reports state that the driver of one of the 18-wheelers was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. Three other victims, the driver of the garbage truck and the drivers of the motor vehicles, reportedly incurred injuries; they were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive treatment. The driver of the second 18-wheeler was reportedly uninjured.
