Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
People often write off pedestrian accidents as simple, but they can be just as complex as any serious car accident. Investigations need to cover everything from road conditions to visibility to lighting and signage to alcohol to medical conditions. These are just a few examples of factors I've seen contribute to serious accidents which authorities simply overlooked in their rush to move on to other responsibilities. Perhaps they were more thorough with this accident, but that remains to be seen.
