Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
After any single-vehicle wreck, I talk about the importance of making sure authorities are investigating all angles of possibility. Mechanical issues, vehicle defects, tire failure, roadway issues, etc. Authorities are capable of investigating such factors, but people are sometimes less charitable to young, inexperienced drivers. They may instead just jump to conclusions and move on without really looking into the facts. It's important that if people feel like investigators aren't giving details the attention they deserve that the investigation makes its way into the hands of more thorough, experienced hands. Otherwise, something important may slip through the cracks.
