Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
With hit-and-runs, it's important to get as much information out to the public as possible. Have authorities been able to gather any new details? The more the public knows, the more likely someone will connect the dots and lead authorities to the runaway driver. That way, they can face consequences for leaving the scene, as well as potentially something that led them to flee the scene to begin with. Meanwhile, it's possible there could be nearby business or residences that caught the accident on video. If authorities missed something like that, there may still be a chance to bring the information to light.
