1 Injured in Dump Truck Accident on Fillmore Street in Colorado Springs, CO
Colorado Springs, CO — January 24, 2024, one person was injured in a dump truck accident sometime before 12:00 noon along Fillmore Street.
According to authorities, the accident took place at the intersection of Fillmore Street and Chestnut Street.
The causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a dump truck overturned, coming to rest on its left side. An occupant of the truck was reportedly entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated upon the arrival of emergency personnel. They were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive treatment for the injuries they incurred during the accident.
