Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
My hope is authorities at least spent the proper time looking into what happened here. It would surprise folks how often authorities let important details slip through the cracks. Mechanical defects, road design flaws, tire blowouts, faulty safety features, hit-and-runs—without enough time or effort, it becomes all too easy to jump to conclusions and miss those sorts of less common factors. That's when mistakes happen, which is the last thing victims and families need after a serious accident. Regardless of what happened here, did investigators at least ensure they didn't miss anything important?
