Enrique Torrez, Nelson Alvarez Aguirre Injured in Truck Accident in San Antonio, TX
UPDATE (January 15, 2024): The two victims in this accident have been identified as 53-year-old Enrique Torrez and 40-year-old Nelson Alvarez Aguirre.
San Antonio, TX — December 12, 2023, two people were injured in a truck accident at approximately 5:30 p.m. along Interstate Highway 10.
According to reports, three people were traveling in an eastbound Chevy Silverado in the left-most lane of I.H. 10 in the vicinity just west of Farm to Market 1516 when the accident took place.

There was reportedly a trailer in tow behind the Silverado. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Chevy attempted a lane change from the far-left lane to the middle lane at an unsafe time. This maneuver resulted in a collision with an 18-wheeler that had two trailers in tow which had been occupying the middle lane of the highway. During the collision, the trailer which had been being towed by the Silverado reportedly lost a wheel; the wheel crossed over the median and collided with a westbound Ford F-150.
The sole occupant of the Ford—a 53-year-old man—reportedly incurred suspected severe injuries due to the accident; he was taken to a local medical facility in order to receive immediate treatment. A 40-year-old man who had been a passenger in the Silverado also sustained suspected minor injuries. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident; the investigation is ongoing.
