Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
One of the main concerns with motorcycle accidents is people often jump to conclusions. I know just like a lot of families of motorcyclists that most are responsible drivers. But when people have this negative bias, it can be easy to make assumptions before the evidence is clear.
That's why it's so important to know what steps authorities are taking to preserve evidence. They, too, can be susceptible to bias. So if they're not taking time to look at the accident from all angles, they could easily leave investigations incomplete or come to false conclusions. When that happens, it may be necessary to bring in independent investigators who can help ensure the evidence is able to speak for itself and tell the victim's side of the story.
