Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
People are often too quick to jump to conclusions when it comes to fires. They just assume residents must be to blame. That's important to consider, but some fires are beyond a resident's control. There may have been a defect a defective appliance. An install or repair job may have been botched. The residence may be a rental property the owners weren't maintaining. Likely or not, it's important to keep an open mind and let the facts speak for themselves. That's especially true when such young victims lose their lives.
