Fred Marvin Gunn Jr. Killed in Truck Accident in Houston County, TX
Houston County, TX — November 27, 2023, Fred Marvin Gunn Jr. was killed in a truck accident just before 10:30 a.m. along S.H. 21.
According to reports, 89-year-old Fred Marvin Gunn Jr. was traveling in a northeast bound Ford F-150 on State Highway 21 just northeast of the County Road 1535 intersection when the accident occurred.

The rear-left tire of the pickup truck reportedly blew out, causing the pickup truck to lose control, crossing left over the center line of the highway and colliding with a southwest bound 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow. The collision caused the pickup truck leave the roadway, coming to rest in the east roadside ditch. The 18-wheeler also left the road, striking a tree line and a barbed wire fence before coming to a stop. Gunn was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. No other injuries were reported.
The accident is still under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly cloudy and dry. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
