Jacob Sosa Injured in Single-car Accident in Harlingen, TX
Cameron County, TX — October 15, 2024, Jacob Sosa was injured following a single-car accident shortly before 1:00 a.m. along East Tyler Avenue.
According to authorities, 37-year-old Jacob Sosa was traveling in an eastbound Mustang on Tyler Avenue in the vicinity east of 17th Street when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Mustang failed to safely maintain its lane of travel; it reportedly veered toward the right, leaving the active lanes of the roadway. It apparently struck a tree and a sign before coming to a stop after colliding with a second tree.
Sosa suffered serious injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
