James Browning Killed in Truck Accident in Panola County, TX
UPDATE (January 3, 2024): Recent reports indicate that 21-year-old James Browning was traveling in a southbound Nissan Murano in the northbound lanes of U.S. 59 a little more than a quarter of a mile north of the County Road 303 intersection. This resulted in a head-on collision with an oncoming 18-wheeler which had two trailers in tow.
Panola County, TX — December 8, 2023, James Browning was killed in a head-on car accident just after 12:00 midnight along Highway 59.
According to authorities, 21-year-old James Browning was traveling in a southbound vehicle on Highway 59 approximately one mile north of Carthage when the accident took place.

For unknown reasons, the vehicle was heading south in the northbound lanes of the highway, resulting in a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle. Browning was declared deceased at the scene of the accident due to the injuries incurred during the crash. No other injuries have been reported in connection with this incident.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time have not been reported on. There are not currently any additional details available.
