Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Hopefully authorities here haven't let the driver's age affect their investigations. I've seen too many cases where authorities either jumped to conclusions or moved on too quickly because they saw the driver was young and just assumed the worst. At the end of the day, the evidence should have the final say. Victims and families are never out of line for wanting to be sure their story is being told fairly. As such, it can be prudent to follow up early on with the authorities if only to verify that they're not letting anything unjustly bias their investigations.
