Jessie Rosales, Lorena Rosales, 2 Children Killed, Teen Injured in Car Accident on Belt Line Rd. in Grand Prairie, TX
UPDATE (August 13, 2024): Recent reports have been released which identify the two adults who lost their lives as a result of this accident as Jessie Rosales and Lorena Rosales. Two of their three children who were with them in the vehicle—a six-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl—did not survive the wreck, either. Their 16-year-old son, however, did survive and was taken to a hospital for treatment of his reportedly severe injuries. No additional details are currently available. The investigation remains ongoing.
Grand Prairie, TX — August 10, 2024, two adults and two children were killed while one child was injured in a car accident at 8:00 p.m. along Belt Line Road.
According to authorities, two adults and three children were traveling in a Chevrolet Traverse in the vicinity of South Belt Line Road and Marshall Drive when the accident took place.

A Dodge Charger which had allegedly been involved in a street race with a separate vehicle reportedly collided with the Traverse; the impact caused the SUV to burst into flames. The two adults and two of the children did not survive the ordeal. The third child was critically injured, according to reports, and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment.
Reports state that the 20-year-old man who had been behind the wheel of the Charger and the 22-year-old behind the wheel of the car he was racing have been arrested; authorities apparently recommend charges of manslaughter, highway racing, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
