John Delarosa Killed in Car Accident in Garza County, TX
Garza County, TX — February 2, 2025, John Delarosa was killed as the result of a car accident at around 4:54 a.m. along U.S. Highway 84.
Initial details about the accident say that it took place between Post and Slaton near F.M. 105.
According to officials, 55-year-old John Vernon Delarosa was in a Chevy Silverado going southeast along the highway. For reasons not clear, the Silverado ended up losing control and leaving its lane. Then, the vehicle overturned.
As a result of the accident, Delarosa was killed. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. No other details can be confirmed.

Did investigators take the time to fully analyze all possible factors? If authorities were stretched thin or working with limited resources, they may have been unable to conduct a thorough reconstruction. Did they carefully document roadway conditions, potential hazards, or mechanical failures that could have contributed to the crash?
Did they examine the vehicle for possible defects? People often assume driver error in single-vehicle accidents, but issues like brake malfunctions, steering failures, or seatbelt and airbag defects can sometimes play a role. Was the vehicle properly inspected to rule out these possibilities?
Did they collect and preserve all electronic evidence? The truck’s Engine Control Module (ECM) may contain vital data on speed, braking, and steering before the crash. Additionally, cellphone records, GPS data, or nearby security cameras could offer further insights. Have authorities taken steps to secure this information?
Families sometimes find that authorities are able to come up with sensible, satisfactory answers. That's usually a sign they did good investigations.
