Commentary
One of the challenges with a car accident like this is someone who is seriously injured doesn't always get to tell their side of the story. While officers can certainly follow up with victims, they're sometimes rushed to move on to other responsibilities, and this can lead to hasty conclusions. It can be important, then, for folks to consider if they feel the facts are being represented fairly. If it seems there are no gaps in the story or details that don't add up, that's generally a good sign investigations were thorough. But if it seems like there are still questions or doubts, then it may be that more thorough investigations will show there's more to the story.
