Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
After any serious car accident, it's important for folks to consider what steps authorities took to investigate things properly. I get calls all the time from folks who waited around for answers, and they eventually found out authorities had already moved on to other work without ever getting all the facts. Sometimes, they even jump to conclusions and end up blaming someone for something they couldn't avoid. This isn't always true, of course. I've had plenty of cases where our independent investigations showed authorities did a good job already. But when folks feel like they're not getting clear answers and they still have doubts that aren't being addressed, it's sometimes because authorities dropped the ball. It remains to be seen how their efforts fared here.
