Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
With any single vehicle accident, it's important to know how thorough investigations were. I speak to families all the time who are concerned that authorities might not be fairly considering their loved one's side of the story. Sometimes, a thorough secondary investigation can show that authorities did a good job and let the evidence speak for itself. Other times, though, a second look can show the investigations were rushed and treated as a low priority. That's when steps can be taken to fill in the gaps and make sure all the facts are brought to light.
