Deadly commercial vehicle accidents are about as complex as an accident investigation can get. I've handled hundreds of commercial vehicle accident cases, and they almost always required in-depth analysis from dedicated accident reconstructionists. In fact, a lot of police departments will bring in outside help specifically because departments often lack the tools or trained personnel for such a delicate investigation.
That's why the early days following an accident like this can be crucial. It's important to follow up with authorities and find out what steps they're actually taking to investigate the crash. If it seems they're being thorough and getting all the facts, that's good. But if they're just treating it like some run-of-the-mill car accident, important details might start to slip through the cracks. The last thing a grieving family needs is to be unsure if they're even getting the full story.
