Dallas, TX — June 5, 2025, one person was killed as the result of a single-vehicle car accident at around 1:00 a.m. along the LBJ Freeway.
Preliminary information about the crash says that it happened along the eastbound side of I-635 in the area of Miller Road.

Right now, details suggest that a vehicle was going along the freeway (apparently not in the main lanes) when it somehow crashed into a barrier. Due to this, at least one person was killed. Authorities did not say if anyone else was involved in the accident.
No further information is currently available.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
When someone dies in a single-vehicle crash on a major freeway after midnight, it’s not enough to label it an accident and move on. These cases deserve careful scrutiny—especially when the cause isn’t immediately clear.
1. Did the authorities thoroughly investigate the crash?
Was there a full reconstruction to determine how and why the vehicle left its path and struck the barrier? Skid marks, impact angle, and vehicle behavior leading up to the crash all matter. That all requires an investment of time, effort, and proper reconstruction tools to dig up. Do authorities have access to all that?
2. Has anyone looked into the possibility that a vehicle defect caused the crash?
A sudden steering or brake issue could have caused the driver to lose control. Defects can also affect airbags or seatbelts, which can lead to otherwise preventable injuries turning fatal. Unless someone checks the car closely, those potential failures could go unnoticed.
3. Has all the electronic data been collected?
The vehicle’s Engine Control Module (ECM) could show speed, steering input, or even if a warning light triggered. Phone activity can prove useful, as well. And cameras near freeway ramps or at nearby businesses may have captured the crash itself.
These key points can help give a grieving family a sort of guideline. If they don't feel these matters are being addressed, they can put the crash in someone else's hands so they can pick up the slack.
Takeaways:
- Fatal single-vehicle crashes need thorough scene reconstruction.
- Mechanical issues might explain sudden loss of control.
- Vehicle data, phone use, and cameras can reveal the moments leading up to the crash.
