Martin Valdez Jr. Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Nueces County, TX
Nueces County, TX — March 8, 2025, Martin Valdez Jr. was killed following a pedestrian accident at around 4:23 a.m. along F.M. 665.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened just outside of Driscoll in the area of F.M. 665 mile marker 554.

Details suggest the area was foggy at the time of the accident. Investigators said that Martin Esteban Valdez Jr. was on foot at the time in the area of westbound F.M. 665. While there, a Dodge Charger struck Valdez.
Due to the collision, Valdez was fatally injured. The driver involved reportedly left the scene but later returned. No further details can be confirmed at this time.

It obviously stands out that the driver here apparently left the scene. While it's possible it was due to panic, that's more often a sign the driver had something they didn't want authorities to know about.
