Maximiliano Garcia Munguia, 1 Injured in Car Accident on W. Koenig Ln. in Austin, TX
Austin, TX — March 31, 2024, Maximiliano Garcia Munguia and one other person were injured in a car accident just before 1:00 p.m. along West Koenig Lane.
According to authorities, 30-year-old Maximiliano Munguia was traveling in a southbound Nissan Pathfinder on Woodrow Avenue approaching the West Koenig Lane intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a westbound Toyota Corolla occupied by a 30-year-old man on Koenig Lane failed to stop for the stop light indicated by the traffic signal at Woodrow Avenue, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the back-left side of the Nissan and the front-end of the Corolla.
Both Munguia and the man from the Corolla incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. They were each transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
