Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Right now, no further details can be confirmed, and I would likely take anything more from authorities with a grain of salt. That's not to say anything of this specific crash. Rather, I've been doing this for 30 years, and it would shock people to see how often authorities overlook important details and even get the facts wrong.
I've had countless families call the firm because authorities weren't answering their questions. Some cases involved vehicle defects authorities didn't have the tools or experience to look into. Others involved folks who were hastily blamed by an investigating officer when there were actually factors beyond their control.
It's one of the reasons I'm adamant about the importance of independent investigations. Even if things seem straightforward, it's best to let the evidence speak for itself. Otherwise, there's no telling what might slip through the cracks.
