Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
I've handled many motorcycle accident cases throughout my career. Frankly, they don't often get the care and attention they deserve. This is because a lot of people are quick to just assume all motorcyclists are reckless, and therefore the victim is at fault. Even authorities can fall into this trap.
I've actually had cases where authorities blamed the victim, but more thorough independent investigations uncovered evidence that absolved the victim of wrongdoing. It's possible authorities here have been more careful and are letting the evidence speak for itself. However, it there needed to be a second set of eyes here to keep the facts straight, it sadly wouldn't be the first time.
