Motorcyclist Injured in Car Accident on McNeil Dr. in Austin, TX
UPDATE (February 20, 2024): Recent reports have been released which clarify what happened leading up to and during this accident. According to these reports, A Chevy Tahoe attempted to make a left turn from eastbound McNeile Drive to northbound Maverick Way at an unsafe time. The vehicle allegedly had a blinking yellow light, but failed to yield the right of way to oncoming westbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the Tahoe and a motorcycle that had been westbound on McNeil Drive.
Austin, TX — January, 28, 2024, a motorcyclist was injured in a car accident shortly after 12:00 midnight along McNeil Drive.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the vicinity of the McNeil Drive and Maverick Way West intersection.

The causal factors that led to the crash are still unclear. Officials indicate that the collision occurred between a motorcycle and a motor vehicle. The motorcyclist, who was allegedly ejected from the vehicle during the incident, incurred reportedly severe injuries; they were transported to a local medical center by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
