Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Commercial truck wrecks can be complex on their own. A crash involving multiple trucks is only going to present more significant challenges.
Chief among those challenges will no doubt be the different companies involved all fighting to avoid responsibility. Having handled hundreds of commercial vehicle accident cases, I've known many truck drivers who found out the hard way that their employers don't prioritize getting them the help they need.
As such, it's often important victims involved in crashes like this take steps to ensure the crash is thoroughly investigated so they have as much evidence telling their side of the story as possible. Waiting around for the authorities or their employers to handle everything is only likely to result in important details slipping through the cracks.
